About Us
With the aims of producing zealous and dedicated teachers who could mould and form the future generation, Miss.Lottie Stanyon Our founder was a Christian missionary who started a Higher Elementary Teacher Training School in 1926 at Salem.
The Higher Elementary Teacher Training School was converted into Basic Teacher Training School in 1964. This was later converted in to Diploma in Teacher Education in 1975. Now it is renamed as Diploma in Elementary Education.
Under the able leadership of The Rt,Rev.Timothy Ravinder,B.Sc.,B.D.,Z.D., The Bishop in Coimbatore Diocese ,this renowned institution is marching towards the pinnacle of glory .Mrs. Anny Hemalatha Ravinder,Diploma in Couns. & Com. Germany, President,Coimbatore Diocesan Women's Fellowship also help us to reach that height by her timely advise and encouragement. Rt. Rev. Appasamy, Rt. Rev. Samuel, Rt. Rev.Thangamuthu, Rt. Rev. William Moses and Rt.Rev. Manickam Dorai the former Bishop’s of C.S.I.
Coimbatore Diocese were also very interested in the field of education and their long experience and deep concern in training the women to be dedicated Teachers helped the T.T.I. very much and the Institution is very much indebted to them.
