About Us
VIA was founded by Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam in Manakadavu, near Pollachi, approved by Govt. of Tamil Nadu vide G.O.(MS) No.163 Agriculture (AU) Dept., Dt.31.07.2015. VIA and its B.Sc.(Hons) Agriculture programme has been accredited by the National Agricultural Education Accreditation Board (NAEAB) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. VIA is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore.
VIA aims at empowering youth as agricultural professionals who can uplift rural development through quality education, profound research and extension activities involving the farming community. We offer two programmes in agriculture; 4-year Bachelor Degree programme and 2-year Diploma programme. The medium of instruction is English.

To impart quality education, strategic research and extension for enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability and to support rural empowerments through system approach and resource conservation.
Mission
To develop, knowledge ,attitude and skill based agricultural professionals capable of undertaking rural development and poverty alleviation with quality.
