About Us
Zoo Outreach Organization Trust (Zooreach #510/2006/BK4) and Wildlife Information Liaison Development Society (WILD #76/1999) are located in the same premises and work in tandem as sister organizations that indulge in constantly chaotic but an effective range of activities including conservation action, research, education, conservation welfare, capacity building and publications. About the same time, and just after the founding of Zoos’ Print magazine, Sally moved to Coimbatore in 1987 to advise a group of businessmen who were supporting the idea of having a modern zoo in the city.
Vision
With its networks based on thematic groups to tackle gaps in knowledge, research and conservation of wild fauna and flora, and issues related to climate change, human-wildlife coexistence and sustainability.
Mission
ZOO addresses biodiversity, ecosystem and livelihood conservation using science, education, training, outreach, contemporary conservation tools and processes.
