Established in 1994, Army Institute of Technology (AIT) is an engineering college in Pune. The institution was established when Gen B.C. Joshi, PVSM AVSM, ADC (1935–1994), the then Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, realised the need for an engineering college for the children of the personnel of all ranks in the Indian Army

Vision

AIT is affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). AIT Pune is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ Grade in 2016. About

Mission

AIT Pune is operated by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). It has the Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army (COAS) as the president of its Board of Governors. AIT offers admission only to the wards of army personnel. It offers undergraduate courses in computer engineering
