The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur, or IIIT Nagpur as it is commonly called, is one of the newly formed IIITs and was established in 2016. It is an Institute of National Importance which is located in Nagpur in the state of Maharashtra. Having received approval by the Ministry of Human Resource Development
Vision
IIIT Nagpur was started under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) method. The MHRD holds 50 percent of the stakes of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur, the Government of Maharashtra holds 35 percent and the remaining 15 percent is held by industry partners ADCC Infocad and Tata Consultancy Services
