Jagadguru Sri Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamjigalavaru, the 23rd pontiff of Sri Suttur Veerasimhasana Math was the architect and founder president. With the divine inspiration of Sri Swamiji, the JSS College of Pharmacy was started in the year 1973.
