Lingaraj Appa Engineering College runs under the Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha, Kalburgi. The Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha, Gulbarga, which was founded in the year 1903, is named after the great mystic Saint of Deccan India, Lord Sharanabasaveshwar.
