Mount Carmel College (MCC) was founded in 1944 in Trichur, Kerela affiliated with the Madras University. It was one of the first women’s colleges. The college shifted its campus to Bangalore in 1948 and got affiliated with Bangalore University in 1964.
Vision
The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India has recognised the MCC as the Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO). IGNOU also recognised the MCC as its Research Centre in 20111.
Mission
The MCC was one of the first of all women’s colleges to introduce PGDBA as a course in India. The pedagogy followed to impart education in the institution is quite innovative and practical. It enhances problem-solving skills through real-life application of the research.
