P.Perichi Gounder Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust (PPG Trust) Coimbatore, was established in the year 1992 by Dr.L.P.Thangavelu, a leading Laparoscopic and General Surgeon of Coimbatore City. The Trust with an ambition to provide teacher training to the youth of Tamil Nadu established PPG College of Education (Co-Education) in the year 2005. The Post Graduate degree course in Education -M.Ed. was started in the year 2006.

To bestow excellent teacher education, to ignite students with an urge for research and development attitude with an aim to inculcate the habit of independent and innovative teaching, also in imparting teacher education, to compete globally and raise the socio-economic standard of the nation.
