About Us
Vellalar College of Education for Women is one of the milestones established by the Vellalar Educational trust. It was established in the year 2005-06 with the objective of providing quality Teacher Education.
It is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. It offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed) Courses in teacher education. The college is housed in a lofty building of its own amidst sylvan surroundings in Maruthi Nagar, Thindal.
The college is enriched with well equipped laboratories and classrooms with all basic and advanced facilities catering to the needs of the students. The college faculty members are well qualified, dedicated and commited to the cause of education. The college library at present has about 9127 books, 28 Journals and Magazines on different subjects in Inflibnet.
Hostel facility is a boon for students from faraway places, who wish to pursue their teacher education in our college. Institutional Scholarship support is provided to meritorious and sports on the basis of their achievement and to the financially needy students from agricultural background and deprived with single parent.
The college arranges government scholarship for eligible students. Educational loans are being arranged for needy and eligible students.
