Padmashree Late Dr. T.M.A. Pai founded this institution in the year 1963 with the combined efforts of the Academy of General Education, Manipal and public of Mulki. Vijaya college is situated at Mulki, a mofussil town located midway between Mangalore and Udupi on National Highway 66. It is accessible to all means of conveyance. Mulki railway station is 3kms and Mangalore airport is about 20kms from the College.
